The Journey
For us, the journey doesn’t end when we hand over the keys. We’ll be by your side while you settle in to ensure everything is up to your standards and ours.
The Design Phase
1. Initial Meeting
& Site Visit
With the sales team, you’ll discuss your needs, wants and budget, then guide you through our building options to find the one that best suits you. We’ll also visit your site (or potential sites) and some homes under construction to discuss your vision.
5. Finishing Touches
You’ll meet with our experienced interior designer to discuss the overall look of your new home. Always one of the most exciting and creative stages of building, this is when you select the finer details, from cladding colours to door handles.
2. Concept
This is where the fun begins. Now that we thoroughly understand your vision, site, and budget, we create a unique set of concept plans.
6. Building Consent
We‘ll prepare a detailed set of plans that meet all council requirements and then lodge them for consent, notifying you when we receive the tick of approval
3. Revisions & Specification
We finalise the design plan and refine your home’s specifications — i.e. cladding and special features — so we can start pricing.
7. The Build Begins
After working with our sales team until this point, you’ll be introduced to your McBrimar Project Manager. They’ll take the reins as we break ground on your new build and remain your point of contact until move-in day.
4. Fixed Price Presentation
When you’re fully satisfied with the plan and specifications, we’ll present you with a comprehensive Fixed Price Contract. This includes the build, all services, site works, council fees and landscaping.
The Build Phase
1. House Siting Meeting
Before we break ground, we'll meet to confirm the positioning of your home, allowing you to visualise your dream onsite fully.
5. Light it up with the Electricians
Before our local sparkies start to run any cables, we’ll all meet on site to confirm your electrical, lighting and data layout to ensure you can connect — and disconnect — in all the right spaces.
2. Landscape Design Meeting
Once the build gets underway, you'll meet with our landscaping team to plan your outdoor areas. The landscape design will develop throughout the project, and we'll touch base a number of times to confirm its look and layout.
6. Last but not Least – Your Tiles
By now, you’ll have made your tile selections. One of the final site meetings is with our experienced tilers to confirm the placement and patterns, so be sure to bring your creativity.
3. Let's Talk Frames
Once your framing is erected, we’ll grab the high vis and hard hats to discuss the placement of skylights, attic stairs, curtains, blinds, and other fixtures that need in-wall framing. We'll also lock in door and window placement.
7. Key Handover
This meeting is key and the most anticipated part of the journey. We’ll hand over the keys to your new home. Mike and the team will be there to join in the celebrations, square up the final paperwork and get your photobook underway.
4. A Plumb Job
Together we’ll connect with our trusted plumbers, who will help confirm the location of all plumbing fittings before they pre-pipe. We’ll explain all the technical details during the meeting, so no pressure here.
